ok guys I rescued it from the scrapyard yesterday, good compression, recoil needs a little tweaking, may need some clutch work, I think I can get her running.

I'm looking for some info on this saw. I cant find anything. looking for displacement, year made, what parts are compatible or can be retrofitted. give me the skinny on this saw

Very similar to Skil 1644 and Power Machinery 340, look both of them up and you will get some pics and more info.

Chris

The old sales brochure I have lists the SKIL 1644 as a power head only .The 1645 as a complete saw, both of which are re badged PM 340`s There appeared to be 3 types in the series ie 1, 2, & 3 although reading up the only thing I can find is the type 3 had different air filter materiel. I have a couple of sprockets[spur type] Pm me if interested.
