I have an Stihl 015 with carb 17 and an 015AV with carb 17A.
The carb kit has two different gasket options that go under the plate that holds the needle clip.
Both carbs are apart and cleaned up and this was done years ago so i do not have the old gaskets to guide me.
The difference between the gaskets is one slot ; on one its just a straight slot and the other the slot is extended and angles on one end.
I have an exploded view of the 17B carb that shows one type of gasket (the extended slot)
of course as luck would have it the exploded view is for a 17B
I also have an exploded view thats for 17-1 and it shows the straight slot
but what is the 17-1 ?
thanks for any info given.

Look at the metering plate to tell

Do both carbs have a high speed adjuster needle? Look at the metering plate & see if it has a very small 0.031" main jet hole (fixed orifice) drilled through it. It should not have one for that model, just a bigger .080" or so hole.

The "angle slotted" gasket is for the carbs with a high speed adjuster screw. Just double checked the Walbro website, the one shown is correct, as the carbs should have a high speed screw. The high speed circuit is fed directly from the metering chamber.
