I am not a Homelite pro but it looks like one of the 17- series Homies. I will let the more immersed Homie guys to give a more precise answer.

Check the carburetor. Model 17 has an early diaphragm tillotson the other saws, 5-20, wiz etc have the tillotson HL.
Yea, it took me a while to get a clear pict of the right hand side of a 17. There are actually several Homelite saws that look just like the OP`s . I have a 6-60 in near new condition that would double as a model 17 or even the saw the OP posted.
And if you run a wire from it to the battery negative it makes a nice anode.

Doesn't it have a serial number plate on it? Usually has the model on it..
