My guess is 2011. It is in fantastic shape. P&c look untouched almost. Plastics in great shape. Minor scuffing on bottom.
But who knows..... could be an 01 too.

Damned good looking saw. Like the tailgate/workbench/lunch counter cover, too.
This Makita 6401 is a 2006 release and runs today like a bandit, even when it has to pull a 32' bar:

No, the carb is OEM. That did not seem to matter. Here's an even bigger elm that it handled:Nice!!
I assume you put a bigger carb (or more capable rather) on there with the big bore kit?
This 7901 will spend time with Mr. @huskihI eventually. And possibly my never used smurf 6100.
