I had a guy asking for a early 306A so I dug this out a bit ago. Seems he was just tire kicking. Since I got it out I thought I would throw it up here as I got too many of these type saws anyway.
This is a early lighter color 306A with the Thirty-O-Six script which is shown in the Poulan 1971 25th anniversary brochures.
My tag shows I went through this saw in 2010 and its been hanging here since. I know it got whatever it needed then.
Carb rebuilt, ign gone over, new fuel lines, new muffler and probably crank seals. It has a good 21" bar and Stihl chain. Far as I know it needs nothing. It was stored dry and started in 4 pulls after it was fueled up.
It shows it has had plenty of use, paint loss etc, the recoil cover has been replaced and you can tell it was ran without a bucking spike for a long time.
She may not be the prettiest girl at the dance but she will put out like the prom date of your dreams.
To me its a $200 saw plus the ride. It may or not be a $200 saw to you but I won't take much less and will put it back on the shelf if no one thinks like I do.
