Old Barn / New Barn

My barn / shop burned during Hurricane Sandy in Oct.2012. My sons and I, with lots of help, are slowly rebuilding.
We milled the Poplar for the frame work and then later the White Oak for siding. We took the trees from the front yard, alot of which were too close to the house. We played with the mill and did some quarter sawing on a large White Oak. There was also some spalted Poplar in the first run.
Many thanks are owed to my family, friends and neighbors. From the boys on the high school soccer team who showed up between practicing to my buddy Duane who pulled out of the wheat fields to set my roof trusses on the walls.
