This saw had been on CL for a while,,, kept watching it,, finally the Wal-Mart price roll back!!!! So I scooped it, bit of a drive.
Its an Arctic to boot, saw seems clean, needs a side cover. Pulled the muffler and as new inside, but comp is just over 140 so rings I suppose. Also a new rope and handle is needed.
It does start and run fine,, I hate the city no wood to test it on.
Guy said it was too big for him.

Beside the cover, that old girl looks good!!

Cut some more off that cover and it will be dandy for big noodling jobs.
It won't hardy ever get pluged up then.

So what is make's it an Arctic? what size bar does it have?

That is a GREAT find! If it runs well, I wouldn't bother with rings just yet.

Will clean it up and pull the jug and have a a look, the EX side still has the horizontal lines on the piston, no score marks of any kind. It is not very clean under the covers, a fine powered sawdust caked. The plug is black,, which I dont mind, better than white.

Does it happen to have a muffler like the one on the right?

It was off my first 064 that was given to me, it had a fried piston and cylinder.
I never got to hear how the that factory exhaust pipe muffler sounded.
I didn't know any better, Stihl had made some changes to cylinder
exhaust flange on cylinders and muffler wouldn't work on my new PC kit.
Little did I know then but for $4 I could buy a spacer for the pipe muffler
to work with my new cylinder. Have been kicking myself for ever selling
that muffler as it is the only one I have ever seen on 064.
Am 99% sure it was factory and sure the saw was sold new oversea's

Has anyone seen one like it?...........sold mine on ebay, I think buyer
was from the North East U.S.

TT mine is like the one on the left, the other is sure different.
Bob

Is the bottom like the one on left also, many 064's had the flat
bottom like on the one on the right. The factory 066/660 DP muffler covers
will not work on them.

TT she is flat on the bottom. Will a complete 066 DP muffler fit??
I may just double the size of the hole thats there.
I will have to see what 066 parts I have on a deeply hidden box, maybe a muffler in it.

Yes but you may have to buy a spacer, Stihl calls it a flange.
Give me a min. I will have the part number.

This flange is also so used on 034/036's when swapping mufflers around.

Flange 1122 145 1200 it is also handy to use it and piece of inner-tube rubber
to seal cylinder off for exhaust port to cleaning saw before pulling cylinder or Vac/Pres testing......
Am betting Stihl will drop this part before long.

Good googly wooogly man.........and he has a new one?
Is it single cylinder with duel exhaust?
Look at the size of that chain!!
