For my tree care / pruning work, I have two hand pruners / secateurs.

One for certaina from 1984 when I worked at University of Portland, and one bought shortly thereafter.

A reply email this week from Felco, says that their hand pruners only have "Felco" stamped on them. But they did ask for an image. And suggested a possible repair.

Both sets are basically original - no repairs. The handle coating wore off both.

Each one has "Felco 2" and "Corona 82" stamped on the same part - came that way out of the package.

Are these "Felco's", "Corona's" or could they be called "Corona Felco's" :)

Looks almost identical to both company's names as I see it printed or stamped.

Honestly, I think you have a pair of old knock offs.

COOL! Looks like they stood the test of time.

Felcos are apparently the better brand on the market, i've always used them for twenty odd years and found them to be great if maintained properly, it may be that you obtained a copy , but if they do the job so be it, too many tin soldiers out there to count as it is.

Felco #2s are great hand pruners. I have had and used one pair for 30+ years now. It is on its 3rd knife. My girlfriend has a pair from Corona that is almost identical, green dipped handle instead of red, and made in Israel. They are slightly wider than the Felcos, but the rivet patterns, bolt lock, screws, lever action, stops and spring are almost identical.

I think that you have the real McCoys there. My guess is that Felco licenses the patents to Corona.
