Solved - MS200T Not Turning Off?

Just got my hands on a MS200T, claimed to be not running but a quick carb change and it runs perfectly fine, problem is that when I try to turn it off, nothing happens. I've clearly made a rookie mistake and linked up something incorrectly in the carb, just not sure what. I'm watching vids of...

Want to Buy Trying to find a chain supplier for non-safety chain

Does anyone know where you can buy a 100' roll of .325, .050, full comp, chisel, NON_SAFETY chain? I guess I'd rather stihl but i don't think they make it without the raker bumps. I've had good experience with oregon but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

    Piston scorch marks Advice

Hey y'all, I have two ms-261's that are both showing some scorch marks at the top of the piston on the exhaust side. They still seem to be running well and have good compression (by feel not with a gauge), and I can't see any scoring in the cylinder or on the piston. My question is, now that...

Chainsaw flywheel switching polarity of magnets?

Saw a video last night of someone “referencing “ another video about someone removing a flywheel the tooless way, hammering it off with a hammer and punch. Said it somehow reversed the polarity of the magnets. Can this actually happen? Believe this was a saw that had points if that makes a...

Want to Sell Jonsereds 451E needs a good home with a firm master

I give up. I'm an old surveyor in Alaska. I used to have a Jonsereds 521EV that would start on 1 pull and run 12 hours straight, with a carbide-coated chain (sharpen it once every evening). The heated handles kept my hands warm at 30 below. The saw was set to die if I let go of the trigger...

    Are electric chainsaws safer?

Do you guys think electric or battery chainsaws can be considered safer than gas chainsaws? In this article on electric chainsaws, they state "Why go electric? The reasons are simple: they’re safer, quieter, they’re less expense and they require less maintenance than gas models." Do you agree or...

How often are you sharpening//replacing chains on your climbsaws?

I think that when I bought my saws I focused on the wrong thing, namely a focus on the powerheads w/o a focus on "Perpetually-sharp chains", whether accomplished by buying chain in-bulk and making my own, or investing in some expensive machinery that'd quickly&easily sharpen a chain for me (IE...
