Hello All,
Long time reader, first time poster. I wanted to warn everyone of the underhanded tactics Farmertec utilizes. I like most other people, could not afford a big saw for the little work i was planning on using, and could not even afford a used big saw that i could find. So i was...
Hi guys. Today I was milling for the first time with my farmertec 070 clone and noticed the spark plug boot was smoking. I popped it off and the inside was melted. I’ve had a number of issues with the saw already and I know they’re to be expected with China junk but I didn’t expect this. Any...
I have a ms660 huztl clone that i built. Ran amazingly for all of about 4 hours and then started having some strong engine vibration. 2 or 3 minutes later (i really wanted to finish the last few cuts) it seized up. Disassembled the top end and found that the rod->crankshaft bearing is...
I recently bought a "complete repair kit" Stihl 070 from the Farmer Tec/Huztl website with 090 piston/cylinder kit and put it together using the1chainsawguy's You Tube series. It was extremely easy to do, I actually built it in my kitchen with no vice or anything at my disposal just basic tools...
I beg your forgiveness for starting another 660 build thread. I bought this box of parts during the members sale since it was so discounted. I really don't need another saw, Already have a couple 361s I am using to test various modification on. But you know how it is, CAD strikes where it will...
Hi ya all. Been reading for quite a while, decided to join and post.
I bought a MS361 kit and a couple extra cylinder kits to try my hand at porting and modding without spending Stihl dollars. All just for the fun of it! I'm on about my fourth iteration of top end builds, and I gotta say I love...
Is this a mean purple machine or is it blue? I just got one last week. It is exactly the same as the kit just blue and without the opportunity to improve it. I see where the rotor still breaks. Do you disassemble it for preventive stuff or run it until its done? I could smell gas, maybe they...
I am posting this here so you can get a good look at the parts included in the kit. I briefly had a 020 topper. The video is clear enough on a good desktop for you to see the parts real well. I was unsure of the quality of the copy's handle because I have never handled a bare one. My 192t gave...
I am trying to diagnose why the intake boot on my 90% Farmertec MS200T melted. My Initial though was that the AM boot is not to spec, but now I am wondering if the tight fit between the piston and cylinder is causing excessive heat.
As I was disassembling the cylinder to delete the base gasket...
I've been searching for the answer to this but to no avail, so here it goes.
Just finished building an ms361 with the big bore kit, mostly just for fun. I know these are not the best thing out there so please don't just tell me huztl is crap, I am aware....
Got it started and turned it until...
Just browsing on Huztl's website and noticed the assembled MS660 and 372 clones (G660 and G372) both indicate a fuel-oil ratio of 25:1. Leads me to wonder why the big difference between Stihl & Husqvarna calling for 50:1 and Huztl using AM parts calling for 25:1.
The Huztl saws are assembled...
Just got my Huztl order and I found an interesting surprise. The chain that came with the 36" 070 bar is a stihl, 404, chisel bit, full comp chain. It came in a stihl chain box, the chain is stamped stihl and the drivers have the grooves to carry the oil.
The grind on the chain looks excellent...
I noticed an advertisement for a Holzfforma G666 and a G372 chainsaws on the Huztl website. My guess is that the G666 & G372 might be assembled saws similar to the companies 070 offering.
What do you make of this? I assume the “G372” is a husky 372 copy?
What about the “G666”?
Howdy Everyone!
Do these "clone saws" have serial numbers on their frames? I've never seen one in person, and I'm just wondering if they not only "clone" Stihl's and Husky's but also mark them with serial numbers in the same places and in the same fashion?
Also, does anyone know if these parts...
You may or may not know that about a year and half ago some of us started building the kits and we all struggled with it. they are close to a Stihl on a good day and not close on others. I recorded some build videos so we could have a little more fun doing, less stress.
These birds sent me an...
Its been a year since we started building these kit and we have come along way and FarmerTec have made significant improvements. So newcomers don't have to wade though 160 pages. Lets start from scratch. I will put a link in both to the other so if there is something that need to be found, it...
Guys, if you been wanting a new small saw they just released this kit for 55$. Hard to believe! Shipping to me on the east coast of the US is $62.89. $118 even. So you get to have a little fun.
Thats two kits in a month...
I have been wanting a pole saw and a dedicated bush cutter so I got this to use one way or the other. I got it unsure of the handle mount since the huztl.net website does not show that aspect. So I decided I would sort all that out once I got it in my hands on it. It is a very well made 2 cycle...
I noticed they had rolled out some larger bars over the 14" bar and chain loop they introduced the brand with. I put 3 - 16" loops and a 16" bar in the cart and shipped they were a few cents less than $40 total.
here is a 16" loop...
