Dad just gave me his old 20” Poulan farmhand 2900 super clean saw.. about 25 years old still runs. Says on the manufacturers label to combine 8oz oil per gallon gas. He never did. Always put a small 2.6 oz container per gallon. Seems like an awful lot of oil for a gallon of gas. Understand it...
I have wasted a good bit of time trying to rebuild carbs for two 18" Craftsman Chainsaws. I have decided to start from scratch and buy new carb kits for both, but I have now learned the hard way that there seem to be a million different configs and part numbers out there. #1 is Craftsman Saw...
For the life of me, I can't track down a source for the thin style piston rings for my Poulan 3700. I can only find the thick ones. If you have any new thin ones for sale, or know of a compatible option, please let me know. The bore is a hair shy of 48mm, the ring's flat-width is about 0.5mm...
What draws people to McCulloch saws?
I've ran Homelite, Poulan, Stihl, Lombard (Knock Off), etc, and so on, but nothing matches the experience that McCulloch gives.
For me, especially, it's the 10-10 series. With the double louvered muffler.... It is louder than all hell. I love it. I can...
This is my brother in law's saw. It is a Dynamark 39CC saw. Not a whole lot of information on similar saws anywhere. I've seen in other threads that this saw is basically a rebadged Lombard saw. Anyone have any info on approximate year or bar mount? I thought I seen somewhere that it was A061...
Just wondering if there are any chainsaw collectors around my neck of the woods. I'm up in Manistee County, MI. I'm starting a collection myself. Mostly 70s Macs. I can't be the only one around here with the Yellow Fever. But if you collect any type and live nearby, gimmie a shout.
Hello
I am looking for Poulan vibe 3400 Pulley part 530069290. Does anyone know if a 530069291 will work, it looks similar but it's for weedeater ? I also found a Husquvarna pulley with same 530069290 part number but no pic for it, is that interchangeable?
Any help would be appreciated...
I bought this at a garage sale as a project. It was a lot of fun. No carbon build up on the piston and seemed to be lightly used. I did a good cleaning replaced fuel lines and filter and it took off. I used it once to cut the logs in the picture. I started it up a few months ago just to hear it...
Looking to purchase a running Poulan 245A or 306A if anyone has one for sale. If anyone has one that they are willing to sell, please feel free to post some pictures of it on here. Thanks
I met a very interesting lady here in Boise, Idaho yesterday who said her birth name was Sarah Poulan. Said her Daddy was Claude Poulan. We sat and talked for awhile and she had an amazing memory of her life with her Daddy and Uncles when they founded Poulan Co. and her Daddy invented the bow. I...
I am in the process of resurrecting an old countervibe 3400. The sprocket looks worn as expected. Viewing parts fiche, it looks like the sprocket is part of the clutch. I'd like to replace the sprocket if I can find a new one. Does anyone have a line on this item?
TIA,
Chris
I've got a couple of Poulan 40-something cc 18" saws that I've had for a number of years. For light duty use they run well and cut fine, but for major cutting they both will overheat and quit until they cool off. For example, we had to remove a large cedar tree and after several minutes of...
My grandpa had a Poulan Pro 205 that sat in his garage for years unused due to a broken starter pulley that he never replaced. He gave it to me and I replaced the pulley and had it running. Decided to take it all apart and give it a good cleaning. I opted to use Fuel resistant permatex in place...
Some lovely person stole my Husqvarna 254 and I need a new saw. Someone has a predator 42 advertised for 70 bucks. Is it worth it? Or should I just hold out for a blown Husqvarna or stihl to rebuild?

I have a few chainsaws I would like to get rid of. I have my eye on a saw I would like to purchase so I am trying to liquidate some of my collection I don't use anymore. All of the prices listed below...

here is a pretty good looking Dayton 2z463 (Poulan 245SA) Ken has for sale, he says it fires on prime, he is looking to get $100 plus shipping for it, it still looks like the powersharp system is still there.
