The 50th anniversary Wild Thing I got last week, I mainly bought it because of how good the bar looks. It runs and cuts, it just doesn't want to idle for more than 3 or 4 seconds without bumping the throttle.

That bar is pretty mint, cool.

It has a little wear under the word anniversary on both sides but looks great other than that. I'm going to get another bar for it and put this one up before I use it much.

Not saying this is the problem with yours, but I have a Poulan Woodshark 1950, it had the same problem. A rebuild to the carburetor fixed it. It ran great until this last fall when it developed internal issues and I had to tear into it.....still waiting on parts.
