I was wondering what you guys pay for a piston and barrel for the 020 or ms200t series? I got quoted over 400 us dollars for a replacement. Is this what they cost everywhere? Can someone do better price wise?

I have done some price comparisons on the same items here and in New Zealand. We in the U.S. are getting bargain prices. There are some neat saws and such that are not available here but are in NZ, it would tripple the price to ship to the U.S. though. Might be ok to ship to NZ but I'm not sure about the currency exchange rate, a doller here is not a dollar there.

Thanks guys! Im very aware of the difference in prices on both sides of the pacific, I have a couple of husky saws coming over from Baileys that cost me close to half the price of what they are here. We are a small market at the bottom of the world and we have alot of middlemen by the time we see the toys. we are paying about 900 us dollars for an ms200, which is not cheap. Hurts to have a saw down to like this, its on its original chain and might be a write off due the expense of the parts. This might be the last stihl I buy, I have had 8 of them but the parts are beyond a joke

If any of you guys stateside can come up with a fair deal on new or used parts (heck even on a new ms200) on the barrel and piston Id appreciate it greatly!

What are you guys paying for 020 piston and cylinders?
