Both of those covers are flat top, later with the lever are rounded on top to match the later top cover. I think that shorter cover is for an 024.
I didn't think the 024 was around for that change? Pretty sure 94 was the end of the line.
This is an early cylinder cover with a late filter cover, you will notice it is the same height:

I know the 024 covers are short enough that an 026 cylinder won't fit under them without machining the fins on top. Random 024 from google:

Notice how the top cover slopes down at the back of the saw, and how much shorter the air filter cover is to match it.
On the inside of these parts, you will find some numbers with the family prefix. The cover installed on the saw isn’t an 1121 cover. Maybe 1125 (034/6)?
Is that a Canadian/metric word for "prefix"?Check to see if it has a 1123 suffix number
Same part number, for upgraded cover 024 and 026
What side is correct John?Is that a Canadian/metric word for "prefix"?
I haven't been up there for a while. Do they still drive on the correct side of the road?
The 024 super with the 026 stroke crank uses the standard cover and filter, the 024 uses a half height filter and the short cover.
Again, stolen picture from Google as I don't have an 024 at the moment:

if you didn't tell us that the photo was off of the internet...
