This saw was made for the Terry Landrum benefit. Watson provided the AM cylinder for Moody to port. I was unable to find the write up on this saw, but there is one floating around. I have put about 10 tanks of fuel thru it, and it runs great. The only reason it is for sale, is my desire to have a 550xp, and the fact that my Snellorized Husky 55 has won my heart over to Husqvarna.
Saw is a early model as it has a front mounted chain adjustment, has a 10 tank old 18" Sugi Hara bar, and chain is an afternoon old.

I thought I recognized that saw... Moody and I originally put that saw together in my shop before it got a sugi bar and port job. Great saw even stock!

To tell the truth I had about 3 of those 024/026's floating in the shop and that was the best of all the crankcases. SO... The crankcase is from a 024super (same crank as 026). The other 026 crankcases had some nasty chain rash. Thus the front tensioner. Seems like I remember putting a wabro 194t carb in that saw too, might be a 22b/c but it's a fully adjustable carb either way. Also due to the 024super crankcase there was no hole for an adjustable oiler. However, the non-adjustable oilers are better IMHO. They pump just as much oil as an adjustable one turned up high. Also the metal worm gear on the oiler doesn't strip out like the ones on an adjusable oiler. Less to repair in the future and just extra info for prospective buyers.

I will take it. My cousin has been looking for a 026/260. Bet this will make him smile!
Good choice. I know guys find these cheap once and a while, but to have a ported one with a $80 bar and chain combo on it. Very good deal. Especially when the port work usually runs over 2 bills!

I think you could put that bar on a wild thing and make it look appealing. This just happens to be a great saw to boot.
The problem is the wild thing would drag down the appeal overall...
