Let the dueling begin!

Great work!
How are you doing on the vids? Lets see that Husky put to shame! Let the dueling begin! :sword: LOL

How exactly did you port the exhaust and stock is it that far off and the flow disrupted? I assume its like porting a car intake or exhause manifold grind it till you have a passage between the cylinder and exhaust manifold or muffler that is exact with no bumps or disruptions of the flow,

Carl

Are you referring to the port or the muffler?

was out cutting today with my bro laying out wheel borrow trails in the next cut block were gonna hit for firewood. i had my 346's and 260. he had his 346. all OE's. i could not get the 260 to hold a candle to my stock 346 even let alone the modded muff ones. i'm exploring different carb options. muff is already opened up enough with a 5/8's ID pipe. the carb on the 260 is a fully adjustable one but i'm thinking there's something to be had by swapping the carb on these things. gonna dig through my carb box tomorrow but off the top of my head i know i have an 044 carb and an MS 390 carb. i'm determined to make this thing at least cut with a stock OE 346.

do you know if it's at all possible to swap to a carb choke? i have not torn into it yet. i remodded the muffler yesterday from the ****** fish gill mod to the welded pipe in hopes it would at least run with the 346's but still not. i'm hoping that i can take some old throttle linkage and make a carb with integrated choke work cause i hate that filter choke they have.
