028 AV muffler

I am trying to get the muffler off an older 028 AV Super Wood Boss. I wanted to see the piston for any scaring, etc.. I removed the 2 screws that I could see and it still will not come off. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Should be screws for the cover and for inner casing. Inner ones just one sides of the ex port

I cannot get the cover off in order to get to the inner ones (as you say). I have pried and pried. I don't want to force it too much?

I finally got it off. Does anyone on here know where I can get a replacement. The old one is pretty well damaged. As a side note, the piston looks excellent.

Have seen them on eBay. Proline has an aftermarket one now.

Just ordered it. Thank you. Put one of those cheap Chinese carbs on it and after a little adjusting, it runs great. Just very loud at this point. Lol.
