just trying to get a feel for the 261cm compared to the 028 torque wise, and yes i know sharp chain and speed wins out most time, well sharp chain always.....but i like little torque in the saw also.....so has any ran both to give comparison?? i know the dont list torque measurments well that iknow off......i like the 261cm,but never ran one,on the other hand if it is weaker than 028,the 362cm would be my next option new anyway.............cant afford 441cm for sure! i have went up in saws and back down in saws trying to decide..........even thought about the echo 590 for $400.00 new,vs $630 for 261cm,vs $740 for 362cm......decisions decisions

I don't have the CM version but there is just no comparing these two saws. The 261 will just kick the snot out of the 028. I have both, I love both, but they are just two different animals. Both have 16' ES bars and RS chains that I hand file. I have no clue how many hours are on my 028, appears to be a low time saw (in fact, it's sweet) so I don't speak for everyone else's 028, just mine. The new saws get better with every tank of fuel. That first tank is kind of scary because there aint much torque. After several gallons of mix things really perk up. And I mean you will slice things you were used to sawing on. Personally, I would patiently look for a good used saw before switching brands. You are well equipped in the mean time until something pops up. If you go new, don't pay the MSRP. You just don't have to do that.... shop around, in person not by phone, and you will see what I mean. DW
