036 AF Cover, Help with ID

Cast into the cover: 1125 141 1003.

Can someone tell me, please, what I have here? Late 036 cover, or 036 Pro, or....?

I bought it for my 036 with the round knob, which it doesn't fit.

As far as I know- thats an MS360 cover.
Older 036 AV cover has the square notch below the knob with no hood over the notch- 360 has the lever not knob and hood over the slot.

I’ll have to look at my 036 but I believe that to be a late 036/MS360 cover. There is a difference in the covers, round knob doesn’t fit into the later covers and vice versa. Well, it will fit into the hole but not engage the female end properly.

If it helps, below are the pictures on my 036 non-pro older model air filter cover. Part number is 1125 141 1001 (molded into the plastic).

Copy that my cover, I posted about, is for a MS360.

I bought it when I thought I wanted a less-ugly cover for my 036. I have since come to relish the ugly one.

If they don't find you handsome, they should find you handy.

Old vs. new tank style. Stihl made a LOT of changes with this upgrade. Different air filter, compensating carb with the "snorkel", etc. The easiest tell tale is the round vs. rectangular knob. and as you found out parts don't interchange. I think that they switched this on later 036s and carried it over to the MS360.
