041 FB -- 8 pin 3/8 rim?

Do you guys think that a 041 Farm Boss has enough torque to run an 8 pin rim with a 20" bar? I just ordered a drum rim conversion for it with the standard 7 pin but was wondering if it had enough torque to run an 8 and get the chain speed up closer to what a modern saw might run.

Grab an 8pin and give it a shot? Only you will know if you like the way it runs. Myself, I'd stick with the 7, lower the rakers and enjoy the torque experience.

Yes it will, and you will probably be able to push on it. I ran mine with an 8 on a 24".
