What is a fair price on a 044. Found one asking 175.00 .Has 18 inch bar . Good shape KILLER

That about 1/2 the going market price for used. Pull the muffler and check out the cylinder and piston. If it's OK, than buy the saw.

That price is low enough that I would be afraid to ask too many questions. Depends on your morals. If I found a deal like that and it had good compression, I might just buy it and not look for any serial numbers. Or not. Would probably depend on how spiritually fit I was that day.:Eye:

That's a great deal! wish I could find 'em that cheap,I see 044's all the time for $200-250 but they're usually beat to death.tough model to find in good shape 'cuz it's usually pros who buy 'em....just hope it didn't disappear from the back of somebodys truck who was using it to make a living.
