Just got the word back from the tech on my 045. The cylinder looks good, they need to replace the fuel line, fuel filter, and recoil rope. This saw has been babied. I have a 270, the 045 is for bucking and felling the really big stuff. Is it worth the $130 they are quopting for these repairs on the 045?

045

I don't no! It's gonna cost you at least triple that to replace it.How old is it.That should help you make the decision.

For a decent tech all those repairs would definitely be under 1hr (again being generous) Parts cost is negligible, a couple of bucks.

Take it somewhere else. But even at a $130 repair it isn't worth getting rid of.

Definately get it fixed, but good lord, take it somewhere else, or better yet, do it yourself. Those are all easy tasks and can be managed by anyone with some basic tools and knowledge. $130 is too much for what you describe, but the saw is worth saving.
