Lakeside did a great tutorial on oil pump upgrades. I wanted to know if the 064 and 066 oil pumps are the same as to allow the new parts in an 064 pump?

As best I can tell the upgrade should also work on the 064... but are you sure you need it? The 064 was before the oil pumps got contrained... Most 064 I've seen just gush oil.. Close to a tank of oil per tank of gas already. What is yours using?

It was 0 before I replaced the drive wire that had broken. I took the pump off anyway and cleaned it up. I replced the oil line as well. That was a real pain. The old line was some kind of cloth wrap that just fell apart upon dis-assembly. It is still only 1/2 to 2/3 tank of oil per tank of gas. Lake are you saying an older 066 oils more then the newer ones?
