064AV How to free up the oil pump....

I got an 064AV in a batch of saws from a guy going out of business. I'm trying to get it running as I have a love for these. It's filthy and seen more than a bit of work. I. Trying to clean it up and pulled the clutch. Found the pump is about locked up to the point it's chewed the plastic gear. How does that happen and how do I free it up?

You need to replace the plastic worm gear and inspect the pump. The pump bore and pump piston.

They made 2 style pumps. Check the IPL. Check the end plug and one type of pump has o-rings. Not sure if parts available for old style pump?
