Alright. I'm looking to replace the AV mounts on my saw. The rubber gives quite a bit when I pick it up or apply any pressure. Looking through the parts list, I see 3 different sets of rubber, soft, normal, hard.

Is there a preference, is one set of mounts better than the other?

Thanks, Chris B.

I'd go with the normal types, the soft ones I think just do a better job at reducing the vibration, the hard ones are probably stronger but also less capable of reducing vibrations. its up to you but I'd go with the normal ones.

Probably will wear a 24" the rest of its life. May have to use a 36" in a couple months, but that is another question for another thread. Without knowing any better, I'll just get the normal mounts. Thanks oldsaw, Rich.

I'm pretty sure the mounts on the saw are the soft ones. At least, that's what I remember when I had it torn apart six months ago. Back then, I replaced the upper one which was ripped. In retrospect, I should have done them all.

If I recall, I think I can undo the 5 screws and separate the engine from the handle far enough to see what they are. Each rubber has numbers on it to ID what type it is.

So many options, so little money...
