066 Magnum vs 066 Arctic

I was checking out a Stihl website and noticed a difference of 1 hp between 066 magnum and 066 arctic. Is it just the mufflers, or is there more than that? Thanks Guys!

Hi Jensen,

Are you sure that it wasn`t .1hp? There is a very small amount of engine hp required to operate the heated handle and carb. So small that you will never notice it in actual use.

The site listed the non magnum and arctic at 6.8 hp and the magnum at 7.8 hp.

1 HP = 746 Watts. I don't think the heated handle draws 3/4 of a kilowatt.

Maybe that's the one with the accessory outlet for powering things like heated boxers & a coffemaker...

Here is the link:http://www.rodneycycle.com/stihl/st-pcs.htm I got home and checked a flier from ONEIDA from Jan 2002 and they also list 7.8 vs 6.8. They also have the 088 and 090 as both 8.6 hp! I also have a small Stihl hand book that lists the 066s both at 7.1 hp and the 088 and 090 at 8.7 hp go figure!

i was looking at some husqs today and the 141 is 40 cc at $200 and the 350 has 41cc and is like $320 why is 1 cc cost so much more?
