In case anyone is interested, there is an 084 cylinder on ebay with one day left and still sitting at about $10.

Bet in the end it is min $65 and high of $90 depending on shape. ;)

So how was the ST-3 compared to stock on your 084?
I ran a local guys stock 084 and was not impressed at all with a stock 084, then he did a woods port on it and I got to run it before and after and it wasn't like the same saw, even running .404, that sucker Rocked after  . Seeing and running is unbelievable the difference in a good modders woods port.

084 3t

I honestly can't tell you the difference. I never ran a stock 084, and I have not had a chance to get to run Dean's 084 too much. I have been pretty busy, and have not had a chance to do any cutting or milling. My wife is having our first baby tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. So, I'm gonna guess I won't have much of a chance to run for a while now. Maybe a little milling in a few weeks. We'll see.

I missed that guess on closing price

Somebody needs a 84 cylinder bad from the land of OZ, up to $137 for a used one already. Guess I better start selling off the extra 84 cylinders hidden back.

Yeah I was looking at that one also. My local Stihl had a dead 084 in his shop & said maybe the local tree cutter guy would just buy a new saw and I could have it for $ 250 including the 36" stih:hmm3grin2orange: l 404 bar well no such luck only the piston was bad so will have to keep looking. Want a 066 anyways. Hi

He has a footnote on the auction that they do not interchange, which I think is correct. They are the same cc, but I think 084 internals only work with that specific jug, but I am not positive.

Do you have some?

Bill

No 84 stuff to sale, sorry. certain 84 parts are getting harder to find and I am saving 84 parts back for that great big mishap someday.

Did know of 3 cyl 's around and let people know that was looking for back ups and they all sold for $75 plus shipping.

A friend sold a good usable 84 cylinder for $50, not long ago also.
