What should a new 088 stihl cost new out of the box and where could I find One

I saw an 088 with a 36" bar listed for $1499 at a dealer near me. Any stihl dealer can tell you how much they will sell one to you for, although I doubt they will have one in stock.

To comment on your other thread, I bought a used saw from Husky 395 that was rather beat up, but it was expected. If the saw is new, and it looks that way from the listing I saw, you should have no trouble getting it from him. They are on Ebay for $1050 fairly regularly, you wont find a better deal at a stihl dealer.
