Hey Steve, Looks like Ken did another great job warming up the 088. Now your ready for Baraboo, or Klondike days. That sony trv22 is the same one I have, it works great and is simple to use and upload to the computer. Gotta have a big hard drive to hold the raw video.

Hey Steve Mueller, you mentioned Klondike Days, I have been trying to find out if they have actual saw races there. I know they have the chainsaw throw as well as the chicken toss.
Can you help me out, I need an excuse to go to the Yukon again.
Oh, oh, just realized Klondike days is in Edmonton Alta.

Hey Jon, I didn't name the contest in Eagle River, the chamber of commerce probably did. They did a good job naming the "World Championship Snowmobile Derby", but Klondike days is a little misleading.

Klondike Days 2004>Events>Lumberjacks
_Lumberjack Competition - Sponsored by Ace Hardware and Stihl

The Great Northern Lumberjack Competition will be held both days from 10 AM to 3 PM on the Derby grounds. Individuals and teams, both men and women, will compete in 12 events in this Hayward-style event.

The roar of the chain saw and the crack of the ax will echo as lumberjacks (and jills) compete head-to-head in chain sawing, crosscutting, and ax throwing. There will be more than $7750 in cash and prizes at stake in this competition.

Two lumberjacks will also perform log speed-climbing up 70 foot poles at the Derby grounds.

088

Steve here...
Here's a clip of my 088KD cuttin' a 9X9.75 log. I sharpened this chain on my Silvey SDM-4 square grinder...Pics of the grinder to follow after dinner.
Steve

ps the Super 2100 is only 3 tenths slower now than the 088.
KD says it will beat the 088 when I get everything right!!!

SDM-4 / Swing arm

Steve here...
Couple pics of the SDM-4 I picked up... Grinder is deadly accurate... But my old Simington swing arm is easier to use.

SDM-4 / Swing arm

Here's a pic of the grinder almost at the tooth... Had to have the grinder running so the pic was back lit, and I didn't need the flash
