I have an alaskan mill and I use a 1/2" chain between two saws- 3210 and whatever other bigger saw I can afford to take away from regular work to use 088,066 or the other Huskys.
After looking and looking I cannot find any 1/2" drive sprockets. I found one but I need another.
7 tooth spline 1/2" chain sprocket
Anyone know where I can find these?
I'll buy two if available
Thanks
Frans

Why would you want to mill with 1/2" anyway? Not criticizing, just curious? Bigger chain, bigger kerf, bigger heat, I can't see any positives.

I was wondering the same. Also, even if you find the sprocket, 1/2"chain seems to be getting harder and harder to find. Might be a good time to think about changing pitch?
Good luck,
George

I had a spool of 1/2 Stihl chain but I got rid of it. I figured I would never need it. Now I wish I would have kept it.

I have never ran 1/2 pitch on a newer saw but I would think it would take HP away from them. Most of the 1/2 was ran on older slower saws that were low RPM and had a ton of torque. I realize the 3120 is not running at 14,000 but it is still running at a high RPM and I would think the 1/2 will pull it down.

Just my random thoughts, open for arguement

To much 1/2 pitch? let me know I could always use some #10 chisel. Trade borrrow or Stilh. Jon
