If you want an old musclecar that's in good shape (cosmetically and mechanically), has a performance engine, and is a somewhat desirable model, you have to spend several thousand dollars. And then you only have one.

If you had $10,000 to spend on saws, what would you get?

Well being thats only enough for maybe 3 real good fast saws or make that 1 really good fast saw and 3-4 stock appearing really fast saws:cheers:

a crazy fast 880, or 3120 hot saw, and prolly 3-4 MS660's a 460, a couple woodsman pro bars, couple rolls of chain

Wow, only 10 grand to spend! I'd take a mint Mac sp125 if there was one to be had, every model of the 090, another 084, mint models in 076,056,045,066, damn, I'm broke already!!:biggrinbounce2: :biggrinbounce2:

I'd go for the musclecar..............I already have more saws than I know what to do with!!!

Yeah, me too. Sorry to derail the thread but here goes!

Ahhh, easy question.

I'd get a Hud-son Oscar 36" with all the bells and whistles, and plenty of extra track.

Give me a bit more to play with, and I'll go get a Woodmizer LT70. :D oh baby!

Tried to rep you for that one Rich, no love, good post!!!

I'd buy a new 460,get the BB kit done, and a truck!

79 trans am or camero with 454 or cuda in ok shape with small motor. could get an mg in good shape or charger hell any musclecar for 10000 dollars sounds good thats my plan too! I missed out 74 Charger for $2500 the old girl gust didn't know what that car was worth damn that still pisses me off when I told her it would bring 25000 minimum she went berserk on the phone I was the second caller too. It must have been hard for that dude to keep himself straight hahhhha! oh well. A friend of mine picked up a 79 camaro with a 454 for 10000 so I know they can be had for that or the stingray can be had restored for that price too or late 70's mustangs hell I love them all send me one of each if you win the lottery I will buy at least ten and we will race them if I win the lottery but dodge made the best in my opinion Charger cuda challenger roadrunner dart the list goes on and on.... But I like all of the musclecars so I say take the best deal.

Nek Vt

Put it in to the my show car...... I have a 91 Jetta with a vr6 engine swap and a ton of work already done.... I am curently good for about 175 MPH .... or I wold buy a new forwheeler ...since mine is almost compleatly done.... and after all my tree pulling this summer it will be done.

10K

Probably a couple of bike motors and a stack of sprockets, bars, and chains. And a trip to Basin Pipe and Metal.

I'll take as many MS361s & MS440s as I could get with 10k... then dole them out to you addicts one by one on Fleabay over the years.

LMAO Probably Not ;) I do want a 660, a 440 and another 361 for "NIB Keepsakes" though.

I would get a crapload of saws & other OPE.

$10k doesn't go far when you "need" a lot of stuff to use...

Last "wish list" of junk I would use had approx:
$ 3500 in saws
$ 1500 in misc yard BS
$ 900 in trimmers
$ ???? in a chipper
$ ???? in a beater 1-ton SRW 4WD
$ ????? in a skid-steer + attachments

See what I mean, $10k is just poking around at it, not quite getting there...

Don't even get me going about setting up a 'basic-personal use' metal fab/wrenching shop

Any rich folks out there want to adopt the grandson you never had? I'm available most weekends & holidays... Will do yard work and/or be very sociable :givebeer:
