1977 Stihl 041 Farm Boss

Hi everyone, I am new to the site and have a question. I have a 1977 Stihl 041 Farm Boss, bought it new, and there is a plastic part between the recoil and the engine that has failed and my local shop says a replacement is not available (they called Stihl to see if there was a later part that would work, there is not). Does anyone know of anywhere out of production parts might be available? The saw runs great still, just can't start it anymore. Thanks.

Both types of old rings are still available from Stihl NW - part number 0000 961 5115 and 5116....
