Allright I've about had it loading up my old truck about half to 3/4 of green wood and have the rear end saggin so low you gotta watch bangin your shins on the tailgate! Allright not that low but it sucks. Anybody put helper springs on their truck? I'm looking for somthing around $75 bucks here, or hopefull under $100, and I would like to do it soon, because I've got about 10 truckfulls of wood I've got to transport on Thursday.

Where to buy helper springs? and which ones work the best? I'm too cheap for the air springs, and i don't know how long I'm gonna keep this 2WD sissy truck.

My dakota was the same way. I got some hellwig 1500 pound helper springs for under a hundred bucks at Summit in Tallmadge. It still squats, but is 10x better. I can actually haul a full load now.

Thanks. I was thinking of stopping at Summit on my way into Akron tomarro and seeing what they have. Going in there is a pita anymore.

How long did it take to install them, I'm hoping to not waste more than an hour or so.

If you plan on going there, take the time to look on their site and find the ones you want, then just take that model number in.

The spring are easy to install. 4 bolts for each spring and you are done.

Cool thanks for the info. I probably will end up doing that tomarro. I've spent the better part of my paychecks at summit since I was young working on my Pontiac, they owe me more than just a free jacket every once in while, or more than just a free shirt for dropping a grand, lol.

How about 2 shirts and a hat for spending 2 grand, lol, better make it a couple hats. I've got so many hats...

This might help, I went to the junk yard and pickup a set of 2500 spring and put them on.
