ever since i got my 066 of ebay that "needed crank seals" (cylinder head bolts were loose, honed the cylinder, reringed=$15 and a couple hours, and a 12 pack) ive been pondering the idea of a muffler mod. ive got an 046 BB with a factory dual port. well over the weekend i decided to do it. i got the necessary materials. took the muffler off and drilled out the welds on teh inner baffle, brazed the holes back up and added me an extra exhaust port with 3/4" square stock steel tubing. adjusted carb, yank, yank, yank.....when i showed up to work on monday to go to logging the guys looked at my saw in awe becasue they have never seen such and thing and kinda thought it was a joke. that was until i started the saw and laid into my first tree. at the end of the day, 20-30,000 bf later they realized that it was no joke. that muffler mod really brought 'er to life. this is the first saw that i have seen around southern il, and the only one what i have heard of with a muffler mod-what are these people gonna think of a stage 3T??? and all because of you guys on here. thank ya
