Ja ja ja I know but holy cow! I wouldn't be surprised if he likes half skip chain because it weighs .317 oz less than full comp while cutting .345638 seconds faster that skip yet keeps sharpness .267484339 cuts longer than blaaa blaa blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

drink more beer. :givebeer: :givebeer: :givebeer: :givebeer: :givebeer: :givebeer:

Forgive me.

LOL!!!

Although full skip on a 20" bar may seem a little weird wait 'til you go to sharpen it and see how quick the sharpening process is having 1/2 the cutters!!!

2/3 the cutters....:chainsawguy:

Never counted the cutters. Just figured that if every other cutter was eliminated (compared to full comp) then it has 1/2 the cutters!!!

You guys are exactly right!!!

I counted the cutters on a 20" loop of full skip and full comp!!!

Full Skip...........24 cutters!!!

Full Comp..........36 cutters!!!

Exactly 2/3's!!!

Thanx for the clarification!!!

Aww man... Jeff is reminicin' ... I remember Jeff. Lots of good old "wars" over stuff like that back then.

Full skip on a 20" bar is the norm out here in the PNW. I have a 20" bar on my 028... 3/8" .050, full skip.

Boy, I 'member the good ol' days, and the discussions Russ and I would get into about full-skip and which cut better, vs. which cut faster with what size powerhead, and what bar length, with what chip clearance....back in the day ya know? :)

Russ..............missed around here!!!
