I recently seen on the EMAC international website under their OLEO-MAC brand where they claim 2000 hours of life for their 100cc saw.

That is the first I have seen of a manufacturer's mention of expected hours of durability

The reason I was looking at chainsaw international sites was that sometimes you can get a clue of upcoming U.S. models by observing what new models appear internationally.

If I knew how to put a link on here, I would have.

2000hrs

Possesed? We all worship the orange and cream!

I think I heard 2000 hrs for a Stihl at one time. Where could one get this info? I would be interested.
I think any make of the pro saws would be very close on this.

I suppose that any pro saw with one careful user, a sharp chain all the time and the perfect mix all the time could run for 2000 hrs.
But most of these tests are not out in the field are they? You would think all of the pro saws could run for 2000 hrs in a laboratory.

Posting links on this forum is as easy as cutting and pasting. Here's your link:
http://www2.emak.it/database/emak/emak.nsf/wframe_eng.htm.

Of course, if you want to, basic HTML works here too, if you wanted to send someone to <a href="http://www2.emak.it/database/emak/emak.nsf/wframe_eng.htm"> EMAK's website for the Oleo-mac 999F</a>.

If anybody wants one, better sweet talk Johnny Lambert into helpin' ya...they can't be had in the 'States. Biggest Emak saw here (Efco, here) is the 81cc model.
