Yes, according to the US catalog, the cc's are up 1.5 cc - and the power output down by .2 kw, .3 bhp. I tried to get some response to this in an earlier tread, but to no avail.....

It also seems that all the other models below 55 cc's are down .1 kw in power, while the 361 is up .1 kw- from 3.2 to 3.3.

Hello Stihltech, your comments are wanted.

I believe although hp is down a bit torque is up to compensate.

Stihltech is probably correct perhaps the best solution is to run one to get the true picture.

HP and high rev's is not the cure all for everyone, myself I prefer a saw with higher torque with a wider torque band to screaming rpm's with less torque and hp at the top end only.

A saw which performs as well at lower rpm's will last longer and be easier on the ears also.

I agree with you Lobo, that is why this new 260 would be interesting to run against the 353. It seem like these saws now are more similiar in characteristics than they were.
Just for the record, I wouldn't even consider buying a 346xp as anything but a limbing saw, even if its cost had been more in line with the 353.
