I have a 05 Vermeer SC352 with a blown Daihatsu turbo diesel at 780 hrs. Low compression in 2 cylinders and bad turbo. Parts are very expensive and am weiry of rebuilding my engine. Does anyone know of any alternative engines I can install on the machine so I can get it running and sell/trade for a bigger, better, faster, more dependable unit? I don't mind doing a few modifications but don't want to have to re-engineer the machine to fit a different engine to it. I know they put Briggs air cooled gasers on these machines. That maybe the way to go.
