Why you think that?

rings still look "free" too, which may tell me "over heating" wasn't the main culprit.
Dont be fooled by the oil you see I put that there . Dirt ingested will get the intake side very heavily. But keep going.

I knew the "oil" was yours....I watched you rebuild before :)
can probably tell you the "brand" ;)

The rings could have freed up , it happens . This sucker ran pretty good! Uncle Mustache said it stopped for a minute and stalled ,but then it ran again.

I have a strong running 200t with 127psi tested on two good gauges. I have new rings on order but it has run strong for two years with that reading. Sure I would like it to be 150-160 but...... It runs good the way it is, actually stronger that my low hr 201t.
Delete the base gasket for a bit more compression.

@lone wolf

Ok nearly a year has passed since your last post on this thread. For the love of God, put me out of my misery, and tell us what went wrong!

:dumb2:

(I suppose that you've forgotten now, haven't you? :p)

No 2 stroke oil in gas! Matt is your project T running yet?
No it's not yet......it could do soon though ! :)

The truth is it's all done, except the muffler....which I've decided to quite surgically modify .

I've deleted the base, and I hand machined the top to get the squish ~0.020", the carbs (it's an old non-acc pump jobbie :)) been serviced, new piston + rings, new seals, the works man! From a quick pull on the rope I reckon the CR will be quite mean too :)

later Matt

I did a base delete for a climber I am friends with and he don't like it . He says it hurts his elbow and is hard to pull in the tree.

I have started to worry about that one......I'll just start doing more weights as compensation, I guess!

Naw! Its fine on the ground.
I climb into our eucalyptus tree every couple of years to take off it's latest (damn fine firewood too). Kinda useful starting it up there too (always with the brake on mind).

I'll just have to make sure my weight training course has worked by then!
