Does anyone know how a 2083 stands up against an 046? A guy bought a 2083 from me and he says it seems like it is a little week. I've got no handy way to put any objectivity to that. The 2083II is 77cc, the 046 about 74cc, right?

Maybe the only way I can find out is to borrow an 046.

Tony, it depends on how old the 2083 is...the original ones came out at 83cc, then when this epa crap started it didn't meet the specs so they put the 77cc piston and cylinder on it, which maps out at 5.02ci. I have a stock 2077 and really like it, though I haven't done any timed cuts with it.

It was a new 2083II (about 2 months). I figured since it was 77cc that it would pretty much run with an 046, but reportedly not so. I guess I don't have a close power to weight match in that size class.

Ya, I suspect the EPA is causing a much greater scramble than we even imagine.

Thanks for the input.
