bump..first time,thnx....

thanks all for the 026/260 info, just replaced fixed jet with the wt-194,drilled out the white grommet carefully, started and adjusted the low idle, all while nursing a nasty flue. And the carb replacement was quite a bit more economical than buying a new saw by a factor of 10+

The saw has never run right as legions before me have found with this model, Snappy accelleration, idles fine, didnt get a chance to buck some wood as Im on house arrest till the flue is gone.Besides I have to finish this bottle of medicinal brandy first, and theres just a few things I wont do whilst imbibing my way back to health.
But it will be nice to have a reliable backup saw without having to rely on the 372 for everything.

just a side note on modifying the rubber boot to have two holes... drill thru with a small bit to make a pilot to chase and then heat a philips head screwdiver of the exact hole size you want with a propane torch and push it thru..wipe the tip off with a rag before backing it out and there ya go perfect hole every time.
