Ok here goes first thread very excited to find this site haven,t had a chance to list so saws yet so my wife says way to many I say no such thing ok here goes all my saws seem to tune to specs pretty much rpm wise got tiny tach so feel it to be pretty accurate got several husky xps various sizes jreds speedy saw like 2055 14800rpms and still 4 stroking traded for a old 262xp 24 in bar kinda giving it a going over before putting it in wood 12500 is it or this saw and still be 4 stroking even if you do lean it out little 12900 seems about it before it startstoget super lean all my other saws like 346xp 372xps stihl ms 460 al have no problem reaching listed rpms and go even higher and still be 4 stroking will mention I am waiting on stock air filter new topcover person owned before cracked top cover replaced it with k&n high volume filter waiting on another compression tested as mine got borrowed and never returned but compression was checked at 156 psi by someoe else not sure how accurate his guage is I also ported muffler any ideas have never owened 262 xp before so not sure about their general attitude thks in advance
 
Yes all my other saws will easy tune to specs like 372xps easily reach 13500 rpms 335xpt 13800rpms and so on and still not running lean still 4 stroking good so know there are keeping things lubed up good internally but if I dialed 13500 out of 262 xp would be super lean thks
 
air leak (dosent sound like it but whatever) . maybe tunning the 262xp a little rich wont hurt no budy
 
Sorry about that grandbaby busted my laptop over the weekend trying to do this on a little tablet with my big old hands don't have no keyboard just little screen with even smaller letters
