280 Brush Bandit Chipper

Need help with the rear main seal on a 280 hd brush bandit chipper with a 200 hp John Deere 8.1 liter engine. Please someone give me a hand

Call John Deere 888-803-9175 and get an engine manual for your particular engine. I ordered a parts n service manual for my model 100- 12" chipper from a local bandit dealer. They included a generic operating & parts manual for models 90/150/200. That manual gives nos. to call for specific engine n clutch mfgs. I'm glad I got my manuals before using my machine. It's so important to follow manufacturers' maintenance and operating recommendations for safe n efficient use!!

You can buy the rear seal from any John Deere yellow dealer. You'll need your engine serial number when ordering it.
