I am having trouble locating the fuel line as it seems Husky discontinued this part. Anyone have one handy?

What year is your saw? Do you know the part # that you need?

I looked up 3 fuel lines and all seem to be good numbers in Canada.

1986 5018146-01
1988 5014265-02
1993 5035776-01

If pest can not help you and you would like me to double check the Canadian warehouse I will. I don't see any aftermarket hoses for those three numbers.

I did'nt think they where discontinued, but?? Is there is a Jonsered dealer in your neck off the woods. If there is just get a fuel line for a 820.

OK a local shop had a 501 42 65-02 and I picked it up. It is not an exact replacement and I am having a he11 of a time getting it in. I have even taken the tank all the way off of the saw. I just can't seem to get the grommet through the hole. I coated it with 3-in-1 oil and pulled like crazy but no-go.
Help

Chris

OK I got it. The new line is obviously from a later year hence the larger grommet. So I took a uni-bit and enlarged the hole just to get it to fit.
So far in this saw I have...
$20 purchase price (basket case)
$24 piston and ring
Free gasket set and air filter...... helped local dealer fix a generator and assembled new saws while he helped customers.
$71 for 24 inch GB Ti bar w/flat top chain and new spark plug.
$13.80 for the fuel line.

Now lets see if she will stay together.

I'm glad you improvised on the grommet hole, thats what I would have done also. 281's are a strong runner. If you need anymore Ti bar I have a source where you could get them cheaper including shipping.
