Okay so your question is should you have 2 288 or a 288 and a 372..... No brainier for me. Have one of each. Probably the 2 best saws husky produced. For me anyway.

Soo I just stopped by a friends who happens to be a ligand a stihl man. I brought the 372 with me which with all the replies I may have muffler modded today along with changing the sprocket to an 8! Needless to say but he’s more than impressed!

well after a muffler mod and a minute of tuning the 372 won its place in the collection. Snappy little B...ch it turns out!

Great its a sweet combo... 372 is great with a 20-24" bar and the 288 with a 28-32" Although a 372 will pull a 28" fine to.
