I see mixed opinion on this. Some say it works just fine. Some say it will wear the sprocket and chain drive links quickly. Some say you need to special order a LP sprocket that fits a normal full sized Stihl rim clutch or turn down a 404 to fit.

I've ordered a 3/8LP bar that will fit my 026 and would like to make sure I have a sprocket that will be ok with the setup.

Can I safely (for the chain and sprocket) run 3/8LP on a regular 3/8 rim? If this isn't advisable, where do I find the correct rim sprocket? I'd like to run at least 8T since 14" of LP chain is what I'd call light duty for an 026.
