346xp Muffler mod

Here is my first try at tricking out my muffler on my 346xp. All I did was drill out the sides and weld some some 5/8's pipe in place. Should I have sealed over the old outlet of the muffler where the screen is???

After using the new muffler it has a little more snot to it.Nothing Crazy

Looks like a first class job, Marky. I don't know much about mufflers, but I'm sure the master, John Dunn (JD Hotsaw) could answer your question.

Looks great Mark!! When I do mufflers with pipes though, I do close the top port....

What is the best method for getting all the debris ( filings etc. ) out of the muffler before putting it back on the saw? Rich.

Best way to removes filings

I just shot it with air from my compressor I am sure if my X wife was around she would have done a better job being that she was full of hot air.
