I bought this saw a while back from another member on this forum. He had installed a new piston. I have run a lot of Husqvarna saws over the years, but never a 357XP. I have heard nothing but good comments about so I wanted to run one before I hung up my chains and files, so to speak.
I installed a new air filter plus the equipment listed below since it came to me power head only.
The saw was easy to flood, so I took it to a Husqvarna dealer and they cleaned the carb and tuned the saw.
I now starts, cuts, runs ,and oils like a 357 XP should. The oil pump it set to max and it oils the 24 inch bar well.
This saw will come with an 18 inch Oregon bar 325 050 72 DL and two new chains.
A 24 inch Sugi Hara bar and two new chains 375 050 84 DL Yes, the saw will pull this bar if you do not bury it in oak. I used it mostly for reach when cutting limbs off downed trees. It saves the back, and I need all the help I can get on that.
Included is a clutch drum and 7 pin rim sprocket for the 325 chain, and a clutch drum and 7 pin rim sprocket for the 375 chain, along with a clutch removel tool.
I did not intend to sell this saw so soon, but I guess age dictates otherwise.
