Saw has set up for a long time.Got it running,cut fire wood today.Would not open up.Had high side on carb set 1and half out.Had to set it 3/4 out to open up.But got worried and quit.

While you have the carb off for a rebuild check the rubber boot between the carb and the cylinder. They are famous for drying out, cracking, and splitting.
