i went to my local husky dealer this morning for a couple of odds and ends and ended up picking up a 371k cut off saw and a 365 chainsaw. i was needing a crank for a 372 project and came up with a little more than i hoped for, especially at the price of 100bucks. the cut off saw has low compression, the 365 looks to have been run over. i am going to turn the 371k into a chain saw. ported and milled of course. here are the pics for the dis believers.

Cut off saw is a pretty handy tool. I have a ts510 and it has paid for itself many times over. Them 371k were really good saws. I would put a piston and cylinder on it and run it. Everyone needs at least one chop saw.

i thought about putting a 372 cylinder on it and running it but i carry torches on my service so its not really needed.

If your saw has the water kit, you can also mount a diamond blade and use it to cut stone and/or asphalt. Handy.

I have 3 sets of torches but that cut off saw sure made quick work of a big Granite rock in my yard. Now it has a nice flat spot on it. Now to find a gas engine drill LOL...Bob

Hmmm,, i got 365 parts and 371 cutoff saw parts, was wondering what to do with them ??

update,i decided to put the 365 cylinder on the cut off saw and its fixed and awaiting a cutting wheel. i have a 100 bucks in the saw. i think i may just keep it. lol
